Top TipsFor the second year running, NAILS BY METS provided pop-up nail bars at Cosmopolitan’s FashFest 2015 events, in conjunction with Barry M.
Using the Barry M Autumn/Winter Gelly and Sunset Nail collections, the team manicured lucky guests at 3 of the weeks’ events – The Lingerie Show, The Accessories Showcase and The Cosmopolitan to Catwalk Event. We also had the pleasure of painting models’ nails backstage for The Lingerie Show and the incredible Cosmopolitan to Catwalk Event.
The Lingerie Show was held at One Marylebone and was a glamorous affair. I met the inspirational Chris Hallenga, founder of CoppaFeel! UK who was promoting the new #BRAHIJACK campaign and gave her a lovely Barry M manicure in “Dark Side of the ‘Shroom”. Various lingerie retailers were showcasing their latest designs and running competitions, including Ted Baker, Next and Freya. Guests were also treated to yummy canapes, makeovers with Barry M, flavoured meringues and retro sweets. Singer Rae Morris performed live, including the official CoppaFeel! UK single, “Don’t Go”. Models’ nails were painted by the NAILS BY METS team in Black Cherry from the Barry M Autumn/Winter Gelly range.

New for this year was The Accessories Showcase, held at Horseguards Parade. A number of retailers had new season accessories on display and guests were treated to champagne, manicures by the NAILS BY METS team using Barry M, flash tattoos and makeovers. It was a fun evening – guests were even able to make there own handbag pom pom keyring!
Later in the week, the NAILS BY METS team had the mammoth task of painting 18 model’s nails (hands & feet) in an extremely short period of time for the Cosmopolitan to Catwalk show. We used the new “Vengeance is Wine” Barry M nail paint. We also had a Barry M pop-up nail bar for guests. Similar to last year, the queue was super long but we managed to paint as many guests’ nails as possible! Guests were also treated to Fake Bake spray tans, hair styling, makeovers and yummy cocktails from Żubrówka.
