Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2015

Did you know that in the UK more than 1000 women die from breast cancer every month?

Founded and launched in 1994 by Ralph Lauren, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer aims to unite the world of fashion as a force against breast cancer. It’s a great campaign that makes it super easy for people to support the cause:

– Dedicated, beautiful range of clothing and accessories from the likes of Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and Laura Ashley

– 30% of all proceeds from the collection go towards pioneering breast cancer research

So basically, shopping = making a difference. Win-win!

This year Fashion Targets Breast Cancer collaborated with Bridge Models (London based “curve” modelling agency) and for the first time used “curvy”, “plus sized models” in their campaign. I had the absolute pleasure of being part of the creative team, working alongside very talented individuals.

Nails inc. very kindly sent me a wide range of nudes and soft pink polishes to use on the shoot.  I opted for “Lilly Road” from Nails inc’s “The New White” collection. A beautiful, creamy white-based shade with a hint of pink, the shade complimented the collection and each models’ skin tone perfectly.  Think of it as a more modern baby pink look – it’s a great alternative to white nail polish and would look fab for spring/summer (especially with a tan!). Massive thank you to Hetty and Josie for organising and sending me the polishes.  You can purchase “Lilly Road” here.

Check a few of the campaign images below. More campaign images coming soon in my behind the scenes post featuring exclusive NAILS BY METS Fashion Targets Breast Cancer nail art designs.  You can also read some of the positive articles about the campaign from Look Magazine & The Daily Mail.
