Nails by Mets COVID-19 Coronavirus update

10 May 2020 (UPDATE): Following the Prime Minister’s speech, it has been clarified that personal care businesses are not due to reopen until 4th July. Unfortunately, this does mean that Nails by Mets will remain temporarily closed.

We will be in touch with all Nails by Mets VIP Members and clients with cancelled appointments. We will not be accepting any new appointments during this time and will review our opening date, as per government updates and guidelines.

23 March 2020 (UPDATE): Following on from the Prime Minister’s update, Nails by Mets will temporarily “close” until the nationwide lockdown is over.

All existing appointments will be postponed and we will not be accepting any new appointments or clients.

For now, the business is on hold but we will be back bigger and better, as soon as it is safe to do so. All existing clients will be contacted.

We thank you so much for your understanding.

During this of closure, if you would like to continue supporting Nails by Mets, you can purchase an eGift card (no expiry date) or purchase products from our new online store.

Please do keep connected with us online, on Instagram and Facebook and we will see you all soon!

17 March 2020 (UPDATE): Following on from yesterday’s COBRA meeting, and having reviewed all available information, Nails by Mets remains open for business. All appointments will be carried out by myself, Metta (Mets) and I am personally avoiding all non essential outings.

Please reschedule your appointment if you live with anyone vulnerable, have been in contact with anyone high risk or you have travelled to a high risk area within the last 2 weeks.

Thank you all for your continued loyal support and custom during this very unsettled time. Please do read the full Nails by Mets COVID-19 update below.

15 March 2020

Dear Clients,

On 12 March 2020, the World Health Organisation labelled COVID-19 (Coronavirus) a pandemic. I take this very seriously and want to reassure all of our amazing clients on what we are doing at Nails by Mets to address this. Having already spoken to and visited many of you already, there are no concerns, however I wanted to address this officially. As of 15 March 2020, we remain open for business (so do please continue to book your nail treatments). We are however keeping a close eye on the official UK Government Response and the NHS website. We will update accordingly if things change.

As a mobile nail service, with mobile nail technicians, we travel to you and pop up at your home, office, hotel, etc. We do not have a physical salon environment and therefore you will not have any interaction with other members of the public during your Nails by Mets treatment. For this reason, our award winning mobile nail service may actually be more suitable for you, during this unsettling time.

Since Day 1, hygiene has always been a priority for Nails by Mets and despite being mobile, we follow all of the rules & regulations in regards to sanitisation, disinfecting etc. As standard:

– Customers’ hands and feet are cleaned & sanitised prior to treatment ~ we wipe/wash hands and feet followed by a hand and foot sanitiser prior to EVERY treatment (either gel or liquid spray)
– We wear gloves (the gorgeous on brand purple Nails by Mets gloves)
– All tools are sanitised and disinfected after EVERY client. Spare tools are also carried in our kit (if ever required ~ although they are never needed!)
– The UV/LED lamp is sanitised and disinfected after EVERY client
– The mobile nail table is sanitised and disinfected after EVERY client
– Disposable, biodegradable paper & bamboo towels are used for each client and disposed of after EVERY service
– We use disposable, single use pedicure liners which are disposed of after EVER service so your feet are NEVER sharing the same bowel as another client

We are proud to say that the above are all standard Nails by Mets practices and we will continue to follow these practices, which we have done prior to COVID-19.

We have introduced a NEW practice due to COVID-19. This is for the safety of our clients, ourselves and the general public. We kindly ask that all clients:

– Refrain from ALL appointments if they are displaying ANY of the following: high temperature & continuous coughing, cold & flu symptoms (runny nose, sniffling, sneezing, headaches etc)
– Let us know if you have recently travelled outside of the UK in the last 2 weeks, prior to your appointment

Nails by Mets reserves the right to stop or refuse any treatment, if we feel you are suffering from any of the above symptoms. This is for the wellbeing of our team, yourself and the general public.

We will also postpone any appointments if we begin to experience any of these symptoms. We will contact clients ASAP via email & text/Whatsapp to inform you.

If you need to cancel, reschedule your appointment, or just want to chat about your nails or COVID-19 and Nails by Mets, please get in touch on 07539393225 (text/Whatsapp or call) or send an email to info@nailsbymets.com ~ as always, we are always here to assist.

Thank you for your continued supported and business, as always and please keep washing your hands regularly 😉
